LED lighting creates a night scene

The dazzling night view is one of the highlights of the Shanghai World Expo, and this is mainly attributed to the application of the new large-scale LED(Light-emitting diode) lighting technology. It is estimated that the total number of LED chips used in the entire Expo park exceeds one billion, and over 80% of the night lighting sources within the park adopt LED technology. The low-carbon feature of LED coincides with the concept of the Shanghai World Expo and is bound to inject new vitality into the future development of cities.

The "One Axis and Four pavilions" of the World Expo are places where LED applications are relatively concentrated. One of the attractions of the Expo Park is the ever-changing night lighting of the Sunshine Valley along the Expo Axis, with over 80,000 LED light points on it. The bright Chinese red of the China Pavilion is also highlighted by the white LED floodlights. The theme pavilion, the Expo Center and the Cultural center all have their own unique charm. The 300-meter-long and 30-meter-high outdoor LED display screen, the world's largest at the opening ceremony of the World Expo, also created an unforgettable visual feast together with the swirling fireworks.

In addition to the "One Axis and Four Pavilions", the square landscape lighting, the riverside landscape belt, the signage and intelligent guidance system, as well as the various national pavilions in the Expo park have mostly adopted the new LED lighting technology.
